Registering for a class using a nickname

Postby persongirl » Sun Jun 03, 2012 10:41 pm

Hi. Just wondering if I can register for class using a nickname/the name I go by, or if there's any reason that our name on the roster would have to match our ID (as long as the credit card information is correct, of course). Thanks!

It depends. If your name is Elizabeth Miller but you go by Betty Miller, that's fine.

If your name is John Smith but you go by Conrad Shuttlesworth Henchman, then it would probably be confusing.

And especially if you sign up for future courses, make sure you use the same name every time. If you sign up for Improv 101 under the name Charles Moore and then sign up for Improv 201 under Chick Moreland, our registrar team won't know it's the same person who finished Improv 101 and will remove you from the 201 course and charge you a processing fee.

Is it just a nickname for your first name? Or an overall pseudonym?

Also, yes, make sure the billing information matches your credit card!
