Hey, we've made some changes to how we choose people for improv Advanced Study Classes.
This is for any Advanced Study Harold (ASH) or Advanced Study Improv (ASI) Classes that are chosen randomly.
We are now weighting our random selections, giving more chances to people who have applied without being chosen.
What does that mean?
When you apply for an advanced study class but DO NOT get chosen we will keep track of that.
The next time you apply you will have two chances to get selected for the class. If you don't get chosen again you will have three chances the next time. And so on and so forth.
Sort of like the Reaping in Hunger Games. Except you want to win.
Once you get selected you will have your chances reset to 1 for the next selection. Even if you decide not to take the class or drop out of the class.
If you are put in the class from the waiting list you will be reset to 1.
If you are on the waiting list and are offered the class, but can no longer take it, your count will remain unchanged.
If you take a Teacher Selected course or an ASP that will not effect your chances in the next randomly selected course.
You are still limited to 3 Adv Study Classes every 12 months.
These counts begin today (May 13th 2015) - so if you applied to a bunch of classes without getting in already you are still starting with 1 chance the next time you apply. Sorry! We don't have the man power to determine and manually enter counts for all of our advanced study students.
Please let me know if you have any questions by posting here.
