New: Director of Student Affairs

Postby kevhines » Tue May 19, 2015 11:54 am

I am excited to introduce a new Director of Student Affairs for the UCB Training Center here in New York, Marissa Tunis. Marissa will be available to meet and talk with students about difficult class conditions or about situations that arise in other aspects of the training center's community.

She has resources to help students address many issues, including but not limited to: substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual harassment, difficult transitions and challenging relationships. Additionally, she is happy to help students connect with qualified mental health practitioners in clinics or private practices.

Marissa will also work with the teachers and staff of the Training Center to improve how our classes deal with issues in the future.
Marissa will hold regular office hours, be reachable for appointments or can be contacted via email.

I'm glad you're dedicating someone to this, especially someone who (it seems) didn't come up through the UCB system.
