Dan McInerney - Director / Coach for Sketch

My name is Dan McInerney and if you have a sketch team in need to a director, I'd like to be that director. I have eight years of sketch experience, studying under people like Mike Still, Adam Conover, Eric Drysdale (writer for Daily Show and Colbert) and Matt Walsh. I currently write for the UCB Maude Team Charlemagne and formerly for the Maude Team Dweeb. I also wrote and performed dozens of shows with my independent teams Skeeger and Secret Hospital, with whom I performed at places like Caroline's and LA Sketchfest.

I believe sketch comedy is one of the best art forms around (no seriously) and a sketch show can and should have real observational moments before swinging to the silliest of farting robots nonsense and back again and still form a coherent show with something to say. I would employ a writer's room mentality to fully exploit every idea and joke possible and focus on performing to ground even the craziest of crazytown sketches in truthfulness.

My rate is $20/hour. $50 for 3 hours.

If that sounds like something you would be interested in, contact me at dan.mcinerney1 at gmail dot com. Thanks!
