Claire Ayoub - Improv Coach

Postby claireayoub » Fri Jun 22, 2012 3:54 pm

Hey all!

My name is Claire Ayoub and I would love to coach your improv team. I'm a member of Kinsey at UCB East, as well as indie teams Claire's Parents and Not Murderers. I can also be found at every UCB improv jam known to man. I've studied with Chelsea Clarke, John Frusciante, Ari Voukydis, Will Hines and Lydia Hensler. I have also coached teams at Wellesley College and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in the UK.

My main focus is getting you guys out of your heads and into the immense fun that is make-em-ups. We'll keep it positive, focusing on supporting your teammates unconditionally, playing to the top of your intelligence, making bold choices, and discovering something truly delightful with your scene partners instead of forcing game.

I have daytime availability as well as some nights and weekends, so feel free to email me: ceayoub AT gmail DOT com.

Thanks!
Claire

Claire is super amazing!

She comes prepared and tailors coaching for our team--to our personalities, styles, and goals. And she's very supportive and just all around fun.

Claire should be your team's next coach! Do it!

Hey all!

I am booked in the evenings next week, but I do have daytime availability Tues (9/4)-Fri (9/7). I've been working with a lot of great students in 201 through Advanced and have developed some fun drills specifically tailored at getting new teams and groups on-board with each other faster.

Also, hit me up if any of this sounds familiar:

201 -- "IS THIS GAME?!"; "I am panicking...time for some OBJECT WORK!"; "If I throw a bunch of games at my scene partner, I'm sure one will stick."

301 -- "Pattern game? FML"; "Group games = everyone talking at once, right?"; "I CAN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING FROM OUR OPENING"; "I don't know which beat this is, so I'll just chill on the back line"; "I can't wait for this harold to be over..."

401 -- "Committing and yes anding means agreeing to put my baby in a meat-grinder, right?"; "I feel like I'm just going through the motions"; "If I have to do another job interview or first date scene, I will scream";

Feel free to email me at ceayoub AT gmail DOT com or introduce yourself at the wednesday jam! (Also, GO to the jam! It will make you better!)

Best,
Claire

Hey all,

First, thank you so much for all your requests! I'm booked for the next two weeks, so if you are looking for a coach in the meantime, I highly recommend Keith Kingbay and Brennan Lee Mulligan. They are both so fun and their love of improv is truly contagious.

Brennan: brennanleemulligan AT gmail DOT com

See you at the jam!

Claire is a rockin' coach!

She's a very talented improviser who has used her experiences to develop a coaching style that is awesome at developing technical growth, team cohesion and interaction, and confidence among her students. From coming to practices prepared with exercises to work on specific areas of improv, to providing students with great feedback in a way that is both positive and highly analytical, teams she coaches can count on coming away as better improvisers and performers as a result of working with her.

I'd recommend the Claire Ayoub experience to one and all!

Clair is a great coach. I've become a much more fluid improvisor since starting with her. And yes, she's super nice and funny, but she's also not afraid to bring something up when she sees a problem. This is something a lot of coaches miss, but when there is an issue, it won't go away until it's discussed. That being said, she usually keeps things positive and I find it very easy to stay energized with her as our coach.

Claire is and Awesome coach. She's been working with my presently unnamed team for a few weeks and already we feel like we're picking things up more. We're out of our head and just performing. Making better connections and having more trust.

Claire's really helped us work more physically and make big choices. Emotional honesty. She's tailored our practices to what we need to work on and has made everything a lot more fun.

If you're looking for a fun coach who will work you hard and put you through your paces, Claire is your coach.
