UCB Comedy - the digital and online home for the Upright Citizens Brigade - is seeking to fill the following positions for Winter/Spring 2017:

Digital Production: Work-Study Intern
Digital Production Work-Study interns work directly with the Production Coordinator and support the production and creative teams as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist with studio management and productions internal to the department. Production Assistant on various shoots. Daily responsibilities include maintaining the space, general office work, running local errands, and other miscellaneous tasks.
Required Skills: The ideal candidate has experience producing online comedy videos, and has experience/interest in writing, producing, and development. Experience working in an office and production environment. Must love Google Docs. Passionate about and familiar with the UCB community. Love of filmmaking process is preferred. Must be self-starters with the ability to see a project from inception to completion. Attention to detail and organization is paramount.
[*]Major plus if you are proficient in Microsoft Office & Photoshop.
Post Production: Work-Study Intern
Post Production Work-Study interns work directly with the Creative Director, and post production department for UCB Comedy.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assistant editing, sound syncing, organizing footage, and general assistance with editing comedy sketches, web series, documentaries, branded content, and live filmed performances for UCB Comedy. Occasional assistance with film shoots, general office work, running local errands, and other miscellaneous tasks in support for UCB Comedy's production company and studio.
Required Skills: Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro is a must. Experience in editing comedy sketches, web series, branded content and documentaries is a plus. Strong organizational skills. Those with editing experience outside of comedic content are also encouraged to apply.
[*]Major plus if you have experience with After Effects.

Podcast: Work-Study Intern
Podcast Work-Study interns work directly with the Podcast Producer/Engineer and support the production and creative teams as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Engineer weekly recordings, as well as, sessions for video production. Edit and mix weekly episodes for designated podcasts. Write copy/publish episodes to host service & UCBcomedy.com. Assist talent (book guests/pitch ideas/research/etc.) Various administrative duties, including maintaining studio schedule and coordinating with UCB Comedy’s Podcast Department Supervisor.
Required Skills: Previous experience working in podcasts/audio production is a must. Working knowledge of Adobe Audition preferred. Garageband, Audacity or ProTools also accepted. Candidate must be comfortable making editorial decisions. Strong organizational skills.
Social Media Workstudy Intern
UCB Comedy seeks a social media intern to assist the Social Media Manager in the promotion of the UCB video content and the UCB Comedy Podcast Network.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting the Social Media Coordinator in preparing and executing social campaigns and conducting research and analysis, Outreach to websites and blogs for potential interest in UCB Comedy videos/podcasts, Creating MailChimp email newsletters, Writing features for the UCB Blog, Creating shareable content for fans of UCB. Keeping tabs on relevant news and supporting each video/podcast's specific needs.
Required Skills: Proficiency in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr and other social platforms. Ideal candidates will be passionate about engaging online and plugged into what's going on in the comedy scene. Strong writing and computer skills a must. Interest in comedy videos & podcasts.
[*]Strong graphic design skills a HUGE plus (Photoshop, After Effects, Flash)
Commitment: 2 or 3 days week, 10am-6pm January-April 2017. UCB Comedy is located at 520 8th Avenue. Non-students welcomed.
Compensation: This is an unpaid, credit based, work-study internship in exchange for one or two free classes at the UCB Training Center (based on hours worked).
UCB Comedy does not offer travel stipends or reimbursements towards any travel expenses incurred throughout an intern’s term.
