Writers and Directors

Hi Everyone-

I just wanted to check if there's any way to submit oneself as a writer or director for UCB videos? I've taken a few levels of improv at UCB and also Sketch 101. I've also worked with a bunch of UCB improv performers, and I've always had an awesome experience working with them. I went to Columbia Grad Film school where I trained in writing and directing. I have a good amount of experience writing and directing webseries and TV pilots, with a focus on comedy. I'd love to get involved more with the UCB community. Does anyone have any advice on ways to be considered for UCB videos?

I just moved from Canada, and will be registering in UCB courses. If you ever need a PA on set, I am always available and looking to get involved!

Reply to Jessie's post; Officially check out UCB BETA TEAM auditions - Unofficially just post like you're doing and look for others of same interest... I write as well and am a graduate of NYU film school though I have not attended any UCB writing courses. I'm in Improv 301 currently at UCB and study advanced Improv at Monkey Butler Comedy plus graduated Second City Conservatory program. Always looking for writers to collaborate with and or production people to work with. I co-created a couple web series that have pilots in editing but would like to do more...Drop me a note.

By the way logistically I'm in Los Angeles though I am often in Fort Lauderdale-Miami area on the east coast which I just thought I'd throw out there...

I have a few years real world experience as a former ABC TV Exec and a former Music Business exec (before the industry collapsed) to let you know I'm a bit older than most posting on the forum boards...
