UCB Comedy is excited to announce the opening of NY Digital Team Submissions 2015!

Please read the entirety of this post carefully. There is a lot of important information.

Submissions were open SUNDAY MARCH 1 through SUNDAY MARCH 22. SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.

--------

WHAT IS A UCB DIGITAL TEAM?
Digital Teams are teams of filmmakers, actors, and writers who work together to create and produce video content for UCB Comedy’s YouTube Page (youtube.com/ucbcomedy).

Digital Teams consist of a combination of DIRECTORS, PRODUCERS, EDITORS, DPs, GRAPHICS/ANIMATORS, WRITERS, and PERFORMERS, collaborating as a stand-alone production unit to create comedy videos.

Digital Teams are meant to create opportunities for UCB comedians & filmmakers to make videos they are excited about and proud of, and which represent a unique comedic voice. Members will also gain experience writing/producing for a deadline, receive production & writers room experience, build their skill set/packet/reel, and participate actively in the UCB Community.

HOW DO DIGITAL TEAMS WORK?
Teams are assembled by UCB Comedy based on eligible submissions (requirements below).

Teams will have between 6-16 members, and are assembled according to mutual comedic interests, and work to produce comedy videos inside a specific format. Current formats include TOPICAL SKETCH, FIELD TEAM, MUSIC VIDEO, ANIMATION, NARRATIVE WEB SERIES, SKETCH WEB SERIES, SHORT FILM.
Note: Team formats are not limited to the above. UCB Comedy is actively looking to expand/change team formats based on applicant interests.

Each team is asked to upload between 2-4 videos a month, depending on team size/video format. Videos will be distributed on UCB Comedy’s YouTube Page, and on UCBCOMEDY.COM

Teams will have exclusive access to UCB Comedy resources including:
[*]UCB Comedy Studios (Green Screen cyc, White cyc)
[*]Equipment (including Canon C100, Blackmagic Pocket Cam, Professional Lights/Audio gear)

I have a question about the submission reel. If I'm not applying as a writer, but my best and only professional, paid credit in a comedy video is as a writer, should I include it? It's a commercial and I would apply as a writer if I met requirements.
Thanks

I'm currently registered for Improv 401 and Sketch 2. I also have a Masters in photojournalism (multimedia, filmmaking courses, Final Cut Pro, etc.) from UT Austin, and National Press Photographers Association video certifications. I also have TV and independent film acting experience. And, I've been cartooning, comedy writing, etc., since 1978. Is it possible to submit this year? My website: DEFinley.com Thanks for your feedback.

Hi! If we are applying as performer producer, would you like the full-length produced video in the same link as the acting reel, or is it okay if we separate the two files?

Hello!
I submitted part one and two in the link provided and I only get an email saying that only part one has been successfully received, but in the link, I get that part two has been successfully uploaded….Should I receive a confirmation email about part two? If so, I'm not getting it.
THANK YOUUUUUUUUU!
