(Subject to change!)
You must be available for the audition times. No other audition times will be available. We will only add additional time if all slots fill up and there are still eligible individuals interested.
Callback dates are Subject to change. If Callback dates change we will announce on this message board. If you are not available for the currently posted dates, you are still allowed to audition in case the dates change and new dates result in your availability. If you get a callback and you are not available, unfortunately we will not be able to schedule a different day/time than announced.
If you are interested in auditioning to be on a UCB Theatre Harold/Lloyd team you must meet the following criteria:
You must be approved for Advanced Study Classes and must have completed a UCB Theatre Multi-week (2 or more) Improv Class Between January 1st, 2016 and January 16th, 2017.
You must be approved for Advanced Study Classes and enrolled in a multi-week class that is in session during Lloyd sign-ups (Tuesday, January 17th - Wednesday January 25th)
You were on a UCBT House Improv Team (Harold/Lloyd) between January 2015 - January 2017 and you completed a multi-level class (Improv/Sketch/Character) within the past year. (Jan 2016 - Jan 2017)
There are NO EXCEPTIONS.
Here is some clarification on the eligibility:
If you are approved for Advanced Study Classes and the last class you took ended (final class session or final class performance) on January 1st, 2016 - hooray! You are eligible.
If you are approved for Advanced Study Classes and the last class you took ended (final class session or final class performance) on December 31st, 2015 - You are NOT eligible.
If you are approved for Advanced Study Classes and you are enrolled in a multi-week improv class that is in session during Lloyd Sign-ups - You are eligible.
If you are approved for Advanced Study Classes and you are enrolled in a multi-week improv class that starts on January 26th, 2017 or LATER - you are not eligible.
If you are not approved for Advanced Study Classes and your 401 class ends on January 16th, 2017, you must get approval for Advanced Study Classes by January 25th - the last day of sign-ups.
If you are not approved for Advanced Study Classes and your 401 class ends on January 17th, 2017 or later, you are not eligible.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A SLOT UNLESS YOU ARE ELIGIBLE. Failure to follow this direction could result in you being banned from future auditions. You must be eligible WHEN you sign up.
We will see groups of 8 people every 20 minutes. You will improvise 2 scenes in this audition. You do not/should not prepare anything in advance. This is an entirely improvised audition.
Bring a headshot/resume (stapled/glued) with you. If you do not have a headshot, a recent photograph will suffice. Please make sure the photo looks like you. Resume should be stapled to the back of your headshot so that it is easy to flip the headshot and read your resume.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled audition. If you are late or miss your scheduled audition slot, you will not be rescheduled.
Callback information will be given to those that get a callback.

If you are interested in auditioning, you may only sign up for one available time slot on the sheet. There are no alternate times or options. Do not email/call/ask for an exception.
When signing up you will leave your name & email address on a sign-up sheet.
***NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO SIGN-UP FOR ANYONE ELSE- IF YOU WANT TO SIGN-UP FOR A SLOT YOU MUST COME IN PERSON TO THE UCBT TRAINING CENTER.***
AS A TEAM
Your team is welcome to sign up together in the same time slot, but you are signing up as individuals, and individuals can only sign themselves up, not any other members of their team (or friends etc).
LLOYD TEAM PROGRAM:
Lloyd Teams have a lifetime of roughly 1 year. This is an opportunity for improvisers to rehearse every week and perform twice a month on the UCBT stage to grow as improvisers and learn how to work successfully in a collaborative situation. Consider this a visa that allows performers to visit a really cool country for a year. After a year all visas expire and all Lloyd Teams are retired. There is no guarantee that a Lloyd Performer will be placed on a new Lloyd team or moved to a Harold Team. This is a one year program.
If you have any questions, read the post again to make sure you didn’t miss the answer. If after you read it again you still have a question, post it in this message board thread. DO NOT CALL, DO NOT EMAIL. Only questions answered by the Artistic Director are official answers.
Please be patient waiting for a response if you are posting questions over the holidays.
