UCB Comedy/Don’t Think Productions is the digital production studio at UCB. We are currently seeking to fill the following Work-Study positions at our NYC production office for Summer 2017.

Digital Production: Work-Study Intern
Digital Production Work-Study interns work directly with the Production Coordinator to support the production and creative teams as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting with studio and equipment management, internal video productions and related projects. Assisting on set as a Production Assistant with opportunities to fill other roles on set based on experience and interest. Daily responsibilities include maintaining the space, general office work, running local errands, and other miscellaneous tasks.
Required Skills: The ideal candidate has experience or strong interest in online comedy video production; has experience or a strong interest in working on set, operating camera, sound or other film equipment; Passionate about and familiar with the UCB community; and loves the filmmaking process. Must be self-starters with the ability to see a project from inception to completion. Attention to detail and organization is paramount.
[*]Major plus if you shoot and/or are proficient in Photoshop or Premiere.

Production Management: Work-Study Intern
Production Management Work-Study interns work directly with the Line Producer/UPM and support the production and creative teams as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting in the coordination of video shoots, Production Assistant duties on set. Daily responsibilities include maintaining the supplies & space, general office work, running local errands, organizing receipts for purchases.
Required Skills: The ideal candidate has administrative office experience, works hard, and has a keen eye for detail. Must be eager to learn and take great pride your their work. There will be some opportunities for candidates to help with physical production. Must love Google Docs. Passionate about and familiar with the UCB community. Love of filmmaking process is preferred.

Social Media: Work-Study Intern
Social Media Work-Study Interns assist the Social Media Manager in the promotion of the UCB video and podcast content.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Writing content for the UCB blog and social accounts, creating shareable content (memes, videos, etc.), assisting the Social Media Manager to prepare and execute social campaigns, PR outreach for UCB videos and podcasts (blogs and websites), help production team with Facebook Live events, and keeping tabs on relevant news and supporting each video specific needs.
Required Skills: Strong copywriting skills and passion for writing a must. Proficiency in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr etc. and literacy with common practices across these platforms. Ideal candidates will be passionate about engaging online, be plugged into what's going on in the comedy scene and have great attention to detail. Computer skills a must. Interest in comedy videos and podcasts.

Post Production: Work-Study Intern
Post Production Work-Study interns work directly with the Creative Director, and post production department for UCB Comedy.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assistant editing, sound syncing, organizing footage, and general assistance with editing comedy sketches, web series, documentaries, branded content, and live filmed performances for UCB Comedy. Occasional assistance with film shoots, general office work, running local errands, and other miscellaneous tasks in support for UCB Comedy's production company and studio.
Required Skills: Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro & Photoshop is a must. Experience in editing comedy sketches, web series, branded content and documentaries is a plus. Strong organizational skills. Those with editing experience outside of comedic content are also encouraged to apply.
[*]Major plus if you have experience with After Effects, Illustrator.

Podcasts: Work-Study Intern
Podcast Work-Study interns work directly with the Podcast Producer/Engineer and support the production & post-production of UCB podcasts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in the booking of podcast recordings/guests. Engineer recordings as needed. Write coverage reports of recorded episodes to guide editor and social media. Various administrative duties, including maintaining studio schedule.
Required Skills: Previous experience working in podcasts/audio production is a must. Working knowledge of Adobe Audition preferred. Garageband, Audacity or ProTools also accepted. Strong organizational skills.
Commitment: 2 Weekdays, 10am-6pm. UCB Comedy is located at 520 8th Avenue. Non-students welcomed.
Compensation: This is an unpaid, credit based, work-study internship in exchange for one or two free classes at the UCB Training Center (based on hours worked).
UCB Comedy does not offer travel stipends or reimbursements towards any travel expenses incurred throughout an intern’s term.
Timeline: Interviews Week of May 8. Start Date for term Week of May 22. End Date for term Week of August 28.
