Hello UCB LA,
This is your official Maude Submission “Save the Date.”
Acting submissions will be due January 9th, 2017
Round 1 -- Live Auditions will be held 2/3, 2/4, and 2/5
Round 2 -- Live Callbacks will be held 2/10 and 2/11
Writing submissions will be due January 9th, 2017
We anticipate teams will be announced by Thursday, February 16th, 2017
Writing packets and actor video submission guidelines are TBD and will be announced at least a month before submission deadline.
Eligibility will be as follows (please note that in future years eligibility requirements MAY BE DIFFERENT. These are the requirements for UCB Los Angeles Maude 2017 auditions ONLY).
Writer Requirements:
1) Approved for Advanced Study Sketch Writing before January 9th, 2017.
AND
2) Have taken a multi-week class at UCB (includes sketch, improv, storytelling or character) that had one or more sessions between January 1st, 2016 and January 9th, 2017 OR wrote a Spank show at UCB that "got a run" between Jan 2016-Jan 2017 OR have been on a sketch team that has won Sketch Showdown between Jan 2016-Jan 2017.
Actor Requirements:
1) Must have completed at least two multi-week UCB classes (includes sketch, improv, storytelling or character) before January 9th, 2017.
AND
2) Have taken a multi-week class at UCB (includes sketch, improv, storytelling or character) that had one or more sessions between January 1st, 2016 and January 9th, 2017 OR performed in a Spank show at UCB that "got a run" from Jan 2016-Jan 2017 OR have been on a sketch team that has won Sketch Showdown between Jan 2016-Jan 2017.
All current and former members of Harold, Maude and Digital Teams at UCB LA or NY are eligible to submit as a writer or as an actor.
You may submit as both an actor and a writer. This will not affect your chances in either category.
If you have any questions please ask them in this thread-- only answers from the Artistic Director or Artistic Associate are "official."
Please don't ask about specific packet or video submission guidelines, as I mentioned above those aren't determined yet.
